The Aging Brain and Cognitive Neuroscience Lab, directed by Dr. Claudia Gonzalez Lozano at Thompson Rivers University, studies how the brain supports thinking, attention, and memory across adulthood. We focus on healthy aging, brain and vascular health, and the technologies that help us better understand how the aging brain adapts, changes, and supports cognition.

Our lab is highly interdisciplinary, bringing together undergraduate and graduate students from Psychology, Science, Data Science, and Computer Science, as well as invited researchers, visiting scholars, and Mitacs students. Together, we use fNIRS brain imaging, rTMS brain stimulation, eye tracking, behavioural testing, physiological measures, and computational tools to study the aging brain from multiple angles.
